Amanda Bynes is one of the most promising young
actresses of today’s generation. Amanda was born on April 3, 1986 in
Thousand Oaks, California. Her favorite hobbies include
drawing, painting, writing, and fashion design.
Before beginning her career as a professional actress at the tender age of 7, Amanda Bynes was formally trained at a comedy camp by Arsenio Hall and Richard Pryor. Amanda first appeared on television in a commercial advertisement for Buncha
Crunch Candies.
As a child she also appeared on stage in versions of “Annie”, “The
Secret Garden”, “The Music Man”, and “The Sound of Music”. Amanda went on to become a regular cast member of
Nickelodeon’s “Figure It Out”, “All That”, and later became the star of
"The Amanda Show”.
In the “The Amanda Show”, at the age of 12, Amanda Bynes became the youngest
performer to host her own variety sketch show. After just one
season, Amanda was nominated for a 1997 CableAce Award. She continued to do the
show for three more years. Even at such a young age, she showed veterans
a knack for comedy. She was rightfully compared to such legends as Goldie Hawn, Gilda Radner, and Lucille Ball.
Amanda Bynes has received the Favorite Television Actress honor four years in a row
from Nickelodeon's Kids’ Choice Awards for “The Amanda Show”. She
also won the award for Favorite Movie Actress for the film “What A Girl Wants”.

Fair.
Amanda has hosted Nickelodeon's Nickellennium Millennium Celebration,
The Big Help, and the Kids' Choice Awards. She was nominated for The
Hollywood Reporter’s Young Star Award, in the category of Best
Performance by a Young Actress in a Comedy Television Series. In

Teen Choice Awards.

Nickelodeon to the WB Network sitcom “What I Like About You”. She also had
lended her voice for parts in 2003’s “Charlotte’s Web 2: Wilbur’s Great Adventure”.
Amanda Bynes made her big screen debut in the hit “Big Fat Liar”, where she
played opposite Frankie Muniz. Her first solo lead role was in the
big hit “What a Girl Wants” in 2003. After that came the animated comedy
“Robots”, in which she lended her voice. In 2006, Amanda Bynes was in the lead role of “She’s the Man”, in which she disguises herself as her brother to play soccer on the boys team of an elite boarding school.
